The Port of Long Beach recorded its best-ever monthly container cargo total in May. The port said the record was due to its second-best import month and the best export levels in three years.
Shipping terminals at the port handled the equivalent of 406,772 TEUs, an increase of 3.1 percent over the same month last year. This May's total surpasses the port¹s previous best of 402,710 TEUs in September of last year.
