New World Alliance revises Guam-China express service

Hyundai Merchant Marine, along with New World Alliance members APL and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, announced a revision of the alliance's Guam-China Express service, known as the GCX. The new GCX service has added a direct call at Kwangyang, South Korea. Changes were effective with the eastbound sailing of the President Grant V-018 on January 17 from Kwangyang. The GCX will have the following port rotation: Los Angeles (Mon/Wed); Oakland (Thu/Fri); Guam (Mon/Tue); Naha (Fri/Fri); Qingdao (Sun/Sun); Kwangyang (Mon/Tue); Busan (Tue/Wed); Hakata (Wed/Wed); Nagoya (Fri/Fri); Yokohama (Sat/Sat) and Los Angeles (Mon). Hundai reports transit time from Kwangyang to Los Angeles will be 13 days.
