Crane manufacturer Liebherr has been awarded a mobile harbor crane contract by Alcan at its aluminum smelting plant in Kitimat, British Columbia.

Liebherr’s LHM100 is its first mobile harbor crane to be delivered to the West Coast. The crane has a maximum capacity of 40 tons and a maximuim outreach of 30 meters. The crane will delivered in four-rope configuration for onloading green coke.

Liebherr has also sold cranes this year to Penn Terminals in Philadelphia, Seaboard Marine in Miami and Port of Albany, New York.
